Patterns of Kinship
a framework for Kincentric Leadership
Patterns of Kinship is the mycelium of Kincentric Leadership's tools, resources and offer - a synthesis of our learning so far, inspired by countless others. It's a living framework of 8 principles and 35 capacities that we find essential for Kincentric Leadership. These start with three foundational principles about the world as we see it:

-
Sacredness - Earth and the whole web of life are sacred and imbued with spirit
-
Interdependence - Everything is interconnected. The only way to be alive, survive and thrive is together with the wider web of life.
-
Animacy & Intelligence - The Earth and all life is intelligent, sentient, and able to communicate and act with purpose.

From these flow four principles that concern the ethics and behaviour that flows from the realisation that all life is sacred, interdependent, and animate.

-
Kinship - All life is kin and flourishes when we treat each other as such.
-
Diversity & Cocreation - All life is cocreated. Greater diversity means greater collective intelligence, resilience and health.
-
Justice & Equity - All life has inherent and equal value
-
Belonging & Place - Life emerges from place.

Finally, the last principle speaks to the times we are in, and the capacities needed to navigate deepening polycrisis

-
Unravelling - We live in a time of endings and new beginnings, navigating loss and crisis, whilst simultaneously planting the seeds of change.

Each of these principles is home to an open ended set of capacities to nurture. We have selected 4 - 5 that we feel as essential, but know there are many more - rooted in contexts, perspectives, teachings and paths different to ours. Consider them an invitation to start the journey.
